Introducing Walking-Through Test Booths
Reducing risk of transmission to the medical staff
The 'walking-through' testing station is a public phone booth-like virus testing facility, into which testes walk and have their sample taken by the medical staff.
It can minimize direct contact between potential infected and the medical staff, and also shorten the time of testing.
At the walk-through test center, it takes just five minutes to extract a test sample, which is faster than the average of 10 minutes at drive-through test centers or 20 to 30 minutes at hospital outposts for coronavirus tests.
Two Types of Testing Booths
Negative pressure compartment and positive pressure compartment. In the case of negative pressure compartment, the person receiving the inspection enters the booth and the person conducting the inspection collects samples outside the booth.
In the case of positive pressure compartment, the method is changed the other way.
Type 1
Negative Pressure
Patients are inside
Type 2
Positive Pressure
Medics are inside
The walk-through booths make it possible for clinics suffering from the shortage of protection gears and face masks to conduct efficient tests by reducing risks of infection.
